Protecting Innocence

May innocent minds be well protected
From oppression that casts dark clouds,
Free from harmful prejudices and lures
To live in harmony, clarity and delight.

Comments:

Bodhicitta vows are formulated in the light of Dharma teachings after one has gained some understanding through studies. As to my original intention before I gained such understanding, it was in accordance with Bodhicitta but not as broad and deep. It was simply a deep yearning that people with innocent mind could be free from oppression by force and lure of prejudices so that they might live a life of harmony, clarity and delight. Such a simple yearning was the basic drive that sent me into a life of Dharma practice and service; therefore, I record it here.
