Dropping Thoughts to Remain Free

Yutang Lin

Thoughts winding become nets binding;
Views differ yet similarly cause blinding.
Discarding thoughts as soon as they arise,
One rejoins boundless tranquility.

Comments:

Views and thoughts are bondage that limits one outside original tranquility. Realizing this point, one discards thoughts as soon as they arise to be free from limitations. It is also feasible to escape the net of views and thoughts through maintaining the repetition of a pure thought, as done by diligent practice of chanting a Buddha's name or mantra.
