Praying for Aftershocks to CeaseYutang Lin
Comment: Upasaka Song Yi Tang of Taiwan faxed me to request Powa service for the victims of September 21 Ji Ji Big Earthquake, and ask me to do some ritual in order to stop the aftershocks which have since numbered over eight thousand times, including many ones big enough to be considered major earthquakes in themselves. Hence, I prayed to Green Tara and the Dragon King asking for guidance as to how to pacify the aftershocks. As soon as I fell asleep, I saw myself inside a temple for local god of earth and, using a wet towel, wiped clean its interior. May all those who happen to learn about this practice go to their local temple for the god of earth, clean up the place, make offerings and pray for the aftershocks to cease. As to the salvation of the deceased, since September 21 I have included them in each and every Powa service. Right now the minds of people in Taiwan are severely shaken; may all Buddhists dedicate the merits of their daily practices toward speedy recovery of peace and prosperity in Taiwan.
