Discard All Selfish IdeasYutang Lin
Comments: Enjoying attachment to fame and profits is like tasting a sugarcoated poison with its core, selfishness, hidden. That a practitioner could not develop his Dharma practices well is often due to his lacking a clear recognition of this point, and consequently remaining under the influence of worldly thoughts. If a practitioner can discard each thought of attachment to worldly fame and profits as occasions arise, then clarity of mind would naturally prevail for devoted cultivation of Bodhi. May all practitioners share the determination to make such efforts! Written in Chinese: April 10, 1999 [Home][Back to list][Back to Chinese versions] |
