Yutang -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: jui khin yeo
Opportune Conditions Added Yutang Lin All causal conditions gathered to accomplish anything Comments: All worldly or transcendental matters require gathering of all causal conditions to become accomplished. To genuinely set foot on the path of liberation and enlightenment the first and foremost condition is to sincerely aspire toward enlightenment for all beings. And then it takes whole-hearted devotion and complete dedication in practicing and behaving in accordance with Dharma to achieve advancement more easily. A practitioner's mind should remain humble and open, without self-righteousness and self-assertion of one's capabilities, so as to readily inspire and receive Buddhas' and Bodhisattvas' blessings. Thus, consequently attainments toward enlightenment will mature sooner, and propagation of Dharma will be incessantly blessed with inconceivable inspirational blessings to benefit sentient beings in time. This article was written upon the request of disciple Jing Xing, and his request is attached below to reveal the causal origin.
While reading "Praise to Maha-Bodhisattva the Great Compassionate Guan Shi Yin" by Patriarch Chen, I noticed that, besides the sentence "Through overcoming adverse conditions to make practitioners more diligent," there is also the sentence "Enhancing opportune conditions to help practitioners attain accomplishments." Therefore, this disciple respectfully requests Guru to write, parallel to Guru's poem on "Blessed through Hindrance," a poem on "Opportune Conditions Added," and then carefully write it in calligraphy for disciples to study, and it will also be included in the coming book "Universal Salvation of Guan Yin." Thank you!
