It's a Pity!

Yutang Lin

Buddha indicated in Sutras that the merits are inconceivable.
Alas! Benefits as tiny as a fly's head could not be renounced.
Plagiarized and compiled into products for bookstores to sell;
At the unsuspected arrival of death, regrets would be too late!

Comments:

Whenever I see Buddhist works on bookshelves in bookstores, I feel pity for those authors and editors. It is clearly recorded in Sutras that Buddhas and Bodhisattvas taught that, wholeheartedly propagating the teachings would result in inconceivable merits. Why would they, instead of offering pure services, get involved with tiny bits of worldly profits? Upon the unsuspected arrival of death they might feel sorry for unremediable regrets.
