Not to Forget

Yutang Lin

Worldly pollution are numerous and sticky;
Evolution of situations, who could control?
Forgetting ultimate liberation for a second,
Snared into sorrows again, when to escape?

Comments:

Ultimate liberation is the true goal of Buddhist practices. A Buddhist should never lose sight of it or become complacent with transient charitable activities that could help one advance on the path. Once this ultimate goal is forgotten it is inevitable that one would fall back into the pot of worldly pollution. Then one could not even talk about escaping all sufferings.
