Relationship in past lives is hard to verify;
Even when revealed, why need to trace it?
Entangled in transmigration not ended yet;
Practice Dharma to benefit beings equally.

Comments:

Although relationship in past lives does exist, it is very difficult to find out and verify. Even when revealed by persons with supernatural power there is no need to follow up into details. For people who are still floating up and down in transmigration, how could they be capable of getting any more entanglement? Regardless of the duration or absence of relationship in past lives, one should care equally for all sentient beings, and endeavor to practice Dharma diligently for the ultimate emancipation of all beings. Only in this way can one proceed on the right and beneficial path.
