Demanding

Yutang Lin

Casting lasso with intention to manipulate at will,
Situation beyond control, the rope hinders instead.
Untying the noose, good idea, but already too late.
Just let go of the lasso to avoid running after dust.

Comments:

Making demands is like casting lasso; the intention is to manipulate. If the strength were not enough to control, then the rope would become a stumbling block instead. Only when one ceases demanding can one avoid running after dust. This is true among personal relations, and is also true among international relations.
