Refraining from Haste

Yutang Lin

Adverse situations are mostly teachers in disguise;
To benefit practice it all depends on self-reflection.
Calmly handle it in the light of Dharma teachings;
Without haste one gradually masters proper stability.

Comment:

Adverse situations and conditions conceal opportunities for further learning. In order to advance on the path it all depends on one’s ability to reflect and adjust. In the light of the Dharma teachings, follow the correct path and calmly respond to the matters step by step. Without hasty reactions one would gradually learn to handle matters properly and achieve stability in one’s ways.
