No Grasping but not Dead

Yutang Lin

Attachment to none is not the same as dead still;
Exhaust thinking and then the whole will become alive.
Once mind opened, no longer enjoy lingering on old tracks;
Respond as occasions arise and content to be normal.

Comments:

Yesterday I composed "Neither Inner nor Outer Attachment." To avoid its being misunderstood as dead still, this one is composed to add explanation. Revival after a "great death," meaning the eradication of self, is simply to return to a normal way of life that responds to people as occasions arise.
