進退維谷間的抉擇之道

在修行上，常會遇到現實與理想的衝突，如何在進退維谷間作抉擇？以下是佛友向林博士請示相關問題後所得的開示。

問：我很希望能作一個佛法的實修者，但許多現實需求的考量如尚未還清的欠款、每月必支的自費健保款，及其他固定開支，我完全沒有存款，家人也無能力資助我，這些都是我無形的壓力，令我掙扎於要不要工作或真的作一個佛法的實修者而無法抉擇。
答：Everyone trying to move ahead on the path has his or her problems. When he or she solve the problem, that is when he or she advances.
每個試著要在道上更進一層的人都有他的困難；當他解決了他的問題，就是他進步的時候。

Advancement on the path is not something that others can make for you.
道上的進展不是能由別人來為你開創的。

I can only give you guidance in principle. The exact choice is to be made by each one herself.
我只能給予你原則上的指引，確實的抉擇則是要靠自己去做決定。

問：那這原則是什麼呢?
答：Devote fully to Dharma practices with the goal of achieving enlightenment.
以成佛為目標來全心投入佛法的實修。
