Mottos for Dharma Practitioners Yutang Lin To people who have already engaged earnestly in Dharma practices, often a few words of advice may be more helpful than long essays. Hence, I want to put down in writing mottos that sometimes came to mind so that, on the one hand, it will be useful for my own reflection, and on the other hand, the mottos may be shared with other Dharma practitioners for our mutual benefits. Let it go ″The Heart Sutra″ clearly stated: A Bodhisattva’s mind has no attachment. The thought in mind at this instant, why couldn’t one let it go? Unattainable Minds in the past were unattainable; why does one keep bringing up past deeds? Criticizing Constantly criticizing others for everything, one becomes like a porcupine. Speechless A disciple keeps talking, Guru is thereby rendered speechless. Worrying What future has in store for us is surely unpredictable and uncontrollable. To practice all in oneness, why need to worry?
