感應 林鈺堂 殊勝加被偶得值，當念感通賴恒貞； 跋 佛、菩薩為了渡化眾生，偶示感應以激勵行實。奈何此類殊恩並非常情，以致學佛者每易忘失，甚至不能細加體會種種感應加被之如何難能可貴，而起怠慢、疑慮。更加上現實世間之遷變與利害考量，咄咄逼人，使得一般學佛者只要一偏向私利掛帥，即無不逐步沈淪。在苦海中浮沈不已，無暇自顧，遑論念及修行。
Inspiration Yutang Lin Superb blessings are occasionally encountered; Comment: In order to lead sentient beings advance on the path to enlightenment Buddhas and Bodhisattvas occasionally would grant inspirational events to encourage devoted practices. Nevertheless, such extraordinary favors are not regular events, and consequently Buddhists are apt to forget about them. Furthermore, some Buddhists even failed to ponder and appreciate how difficult and rare it were to obtain such inspirational blessings, and in time became negligent or skeptical. In addition, turnings of tides of life and considerations of gain and loss are constantly pressing on people. Consequently, as soon as ordinary Buddhists lean toward being led by self-interest, they all sink gradually into worldly matters. Floating up and down on the ocean of suffering, they had hardly a moment of leisure to reflect on themselves, not to mention the opportunity to think about Dharma practices.
