One among Sentient Beings

Yutang Lin

Sentient beings are so many, counting without end,
I myself, whether high or low, am only one among them,
No point to be proud of myself.

Sentient beings are so many; how to count them?
The one in mind, whether loved or hated, is only one among them,
Why keep grasping it so tight?

Sentient beings are so many, too numerous to count,
Bodhicitta, wisdom and compassion unified, leaves out none among them,
Only wishes to up-bring them constantly.
