Same as Lights

Yutang Lin

Blank Essence has neither particular shape nor quality.
Visualizing on such essence is hard to put into practice.
All things experienced to be regarded as same as lights.
Vivid as they are, and yet there is nothing we can grasp.

Comments:

Blank Essence permeates everything and everywhere, and yet it has neither particular shape nor specific quality. Even when this philosophical point is comprehended, it is still difficult to realize the visualization of all things returning to Blank Essence in practice.

All sensations and things experienced are vividly and concurrently present as a totality. Regard all these as basically the same as lights, i.e., even thought they are vividly experienced and yet they have no substance to be grasped. This is a practical way to practice the visualization on Blank Essence.
