Praying for All

Yutang Lin

Brothers fighting within family could not be stopped by pleading;
Siblings injuring one another, it amounts to cutting parents' hearts.
Lessons learned through shedding blood and tears still won't help,
Praying to Buddhas for all beings to cease fire and get peace soon.

Comments:

Fighting among people never ceased. In light of the awakening to oneness of all, it is no different from brothers fighting within family. Unfortunately pleading to cease fire would fall on deaf ears; one could only feel heartache for siblings that injure one another. Even though fulfilled with traces of blood and tears similar historical events keep repeating. It is very difficult to reach enlightened solutions. We could only pray to Buddhas who possess great wisdom, compassion and might for blessings so that situation of the world would soon become clear and peaceful.
