Reality Lacking Intentions

Yutang Lin

How could words exhaust all significance?
Shouting from afar could only help in vain.
Without intentions reality let run at liberty;
Just wait quietly until the right opportunity.

Comment:

Advice and recommendations are limited in persuasion; ardently spoken words are heard only casually. After all good intentions have been presented one should retreat into silence to wait for the right opportunity. The path of liberation is similar to that of the birds (in empty space leaving no traces) and the public may walk on it at liberty. Chipping and pecking simultaneously could not be demanded. Providing Dharma teachings in accordance with right opportunities is real equality to all. Propagating the Dharma without preferences meets the essence of liberation.
