Ropes and Hooks

Yutang Lin

Causes and conditions connect like ropes and threads enwrap;
Grasping and attachment tighten like hooks and locks bite in.
Pulling silks to unwrap a cocoon is already not a matter easy;
Untying knots and loosening clasps are surely more difficult.

Comments:

Causes and conditions knit up nets of karmas. Self-inflicted grasping and attachment add hooks to the nets. It is not an easy matter to pull the threads to dismantle karmic nets. One had better first loosen the grasping and attachment in order to reduce entanglements.
