Steps Taken Form the Path

Yutang Lin

This circle or that field getting involved or not?
Stepping hither or thither according to intentions.
Jump out of worldly considerations to regain peace;
To act or stay, say or be silent, only in view of all beings.

Comment:

Matters of the world start with getting involved or not. Once involved, choices made step by step form the trail. To practice toward emancipation, intentions should resume the original state of non-involvement and thereby jump out of the antagonism of one and others, and the weighing of gains and losses. As to one's actions and non-action, speech and silence, each move should base on the Bodhicitta that aspires toward helping each and every sentient being equally and ultimately, and be performed as if done right in front of all sentient beings.
