Neither Inner nor Outer Attachment

Yutang Lin

Being captive of form is not just deluded by outer world;
Inner grasping of mind also constitutes a prison cell.
Abiding in neither, without need to seek,
Original oneness is beyond limiting measures.

Comments:

Chasing after sounds and forms in the outer world and grasping and comparing within the mind are both attachments to form. Abiding in neither, no need to seek out, has originally pure oneness ever being separated? What is there that could be measured or grasped? It is the easiest matter; do not make it difficult yourself.
