筆耕全賴蘊藏深,舉重若輕行無事;

Knowing already to practice and accumulate merits,
Yet for selfish aims would not dedicate merits to all.
In this way self-centeredness would never die away;
The root of transmigration continues to wind and bind.

Comment:

To spread the Dharma through writings one needs to possess the right view. In addition, one needs to have experiences in Dharma practices. Only then can one write of substance and provide guidance according to needs. It seems easy to write words down; however, to maintain purity and orderliness is most difficult. Putting black words on white paper, it does not seem to be a big deal. Nevertheless, this could cultivate minds even thousands of years later. Born of compassion and given freely to all who come to pass, may such gifts of advice enable all to share the grace of Buddha in attaining enlightenment.
